Visiting the Grimsby Institute’s Commercial Facilities is an experience that combines modern amenities with a rich educational environment. The state-of-the-art facilities offer a glimpse into the cutting-edge technologies and practices used in the commercial sector.

The Graduate Salon

Our campus has its own hair and beauty salon, where you can take advantage of fantastic discounts for hair, beauty and holistic professional treatments, whether you are seeking time for relaxation, are keen to keep up with the latest trends, or want to look fabulous for a special night out. Using the highest quality salon services and products, our experienced staff will ensure you leave your appointment feeling refreshed and looking a million dollars. The salon is open during the day and selected evenings.

The Samphire Restaurant

We are the proud home of The Samphire Restaurant, a real-life training restaurant, where our talented students showcase their skills in crafting delicious meals. Savour dishes prepared by some of the region’s most promising young chefs and served by our up-and-coming front-of-house talent. You’ll discover dishes prepared using some of the best ingredients Lincolnshire has to offer, including superb seafood from the famous docks.

Lunch service is offered three days each week, and we open for Dinner on Thursdays. Our menus are changed regularly, offering a wide range of reasonably priced meals for you to choose from.

Sports Centre

Our Sports Centre offers a fully equipped gym giving you the chance to train and work out, with a reduced membership rate exclusively for students. You can also make the most of our six-court sports hall.

The Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), located next to the Sports Centre, comprises of artificial pitches designed for students, staff, local sports clubs, and community groups to use throughout the day and evening for sports such as football and hockey.

Printing Services

Our e-Print facility offers all students a range of convenient services, including assignment and photographic printing, bookbinding, finishing, and stationery. Photocopying services are available in the Learning Centre.

Little Stars Day Nursery

Little Stars Day Nursery is an award-winning childcare nursery registered for 77 child places. We have been established since 1986 and are located in Grimsby.

Little Stars Day Nursery is open to learners and Grimsby Institute staff, as well as the wider community. We are open all year round excluding the week between Christmas & New Year and all Bank Holidays.
