Bringing Classrooms and Careers Together 

Grimsby Institute recently hosted another successful Careers and Progression event, bringing together our further education students and a wide range of local employers. The event is designed to give learners a clearer understanding of the opportunities available to them after college, while helping them explore potential career paths in a supportive and engaging environment. 

Throughout the day, 677 students had the chance to speak directly with employers from different industries, learning more about the roles they offer, the skills they look for, and the routes into their sectors. These conversations are invaluable in helping students make informed decisions about their next steps, whether that’smoving into employment, apprenticeships, or further study. 

The event also provided a great opportunity for employers to connect with the next generation of talent. By sharing their experiences and insights, they helped inspire our learners and highlight the many exciting opportunities available within the local area.
