Uniformed Public Services (UPS) students pay tribute in remembrance to those lost

Our Uniformed Public Services students joined staff and people from the local community to pay their respects at a special Remembrance service at the Grimsby Cenotaph today remembering and honouring the heroes who fought for us, supported us, supported our troops and provided for us during the World Wars and continue to provide, to enable us to live with the freedoms we enjoy today.

Cody laid a wreath after some readings by Lucy, Sam, Reuben and Keegan, followed by an impeccably observed two-minutes silence. UPS tutors Cain Matthews and Emma Lundie said:

We’re both extremely proud of how the UPS students conducted themselves whilst showing respect for our fallen service personel.  Even though the ceremony was short it doesn’t show how many hours of practice they all put in. We had great feedback from proud parents who came to watch.

Each year gets bigger and better and each and every student deserves credit for great demonstration of self discipline, drill and their understanding of the need for such events
