Institute of Technology (IoT)

New IT Design Studio, Digital Arts Lab, Cyber IT Lab, Multi-use IT and Engineering Robotics facility at The Grimsby Institute (due to be completed 2020).

IoTs are collaborations between colleges, universities and employers. They will specialise in delivering higher technical university-level education (at Levels 4 and 5) with a focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects, such as:

  • Engineering
  • Digital
  • Construction

IoTs will focus on the specific technical skills required to bridge the skills gaps in our local area. They will provide employers with a skilled workforce and students with a clear route to technical employment. The Grimsby Institute is a member of the consortium of further and higher education providers, led by the University of Lincoln that will bring substantial capital funding to our region with the Lincolnshire Institute of Technology.

Our highly specialised Institute of Technology courses start from September 2020 at the University Centre Grimsby.
