Throughout this course, you will learn a variety of practical skills including studying life stages, public health, psychological disorders and human anatomy & physiology, providing you with everything you need to better understand and care for both adults and children.
You will also learn about equality, diversity and rights in care work, professional values, planning and supporting and protecting adults.
If you have a passion for helping people and an interest in working in the health and social care sector then this is the course for you!
Our Health & Social Care course combines classroom learning and practical experience to ensure you are ready for a career in the industry, there’s even a clinical skills room that looks like one in a hospital, with simulated patients that you’ll be able to work on to gain experience.
As a learner, you will also have the opportunity to complete extended work placements where you will gain even more skills and employability experience ready for applying to uni or for a job in the care sector.

Students undertake work experience in care homes, schools, nurseries. day centres for adults with learning difficulties, residential settings for the elderly and some students have even been able to work in medical settings.
During your time on the Health & Social Care course, you will have the opportunity to visit care providers, care homes, medical museums and more.
