Construction Operations (Anglian Water)

This pre-apprenticeship skills programme works in collaboration with Anglian Water and its Alliance partners, providing a fully employer-supported multi-skill construction course.

Creative Media Production

Our Level 3 Creative Media Production course offers a practical, industry-designed format that is filled with creative projects. You’ll be in our real media suites, using software from the Adobe Creative Cloud suite such as Premiere Pro to develop your key media skills.

Crime and Social Studies

It will help you answer the question: Are you born a criminal? Why do people reoffend? Does rehabilitation work? What shapes us to be law abiding citizens? While gaining the analytical and evaluative skills needed to progress onto university, apprenticeship or employment.

E-Sports

Esports is organised competitive computer gaming. The Esports industry was worth $865 million in 2019 and it’s an industry that supports many jobs and careers now.

Electrical Installation

If you’re curious about the inner workings of electrical systems, this course will give you all the answers you need and more! The tutors will show you how to wire your average light fitting right through to teaching you about the renewable energy sector.

Engineering

The Engineering course is a combination of theory and practical, with all sorts of interesting equipment for you to get your hands on.

Fabrication and Welding

During the course, you will be introduced to a variety of fabrication and welding techniques such as GMAW (MAG), GTAW (TIG), FCAW and SMAW (MMA) (don’t worry, you’ll know the difference once you have finished).

Football Performance Programme

The Football Performance Programme (FPP) aims to provide talented young players with the opportunity to continue their development as footballers in a full-time elite environment.

Forensic and Criminal Investigation

Grimsby Institute is the only college in the region to offer this course. You will be taught by forensics experts who work in the profession as well as local universities providing you with the most current industry practise in science and forensic science investigation.
