TEC Partnership celebrates esteemed ‘Silver’ accreditation from Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF)

The TEC Partnership is pleased to announce that we have been awarded an overall ‘Silver’ rating with a ‘Gold’ aspect rating for student experience and a ‘Silver’ aspect rating for student outcomes in this year’s national Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) awards.

The Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) is a national scheme run by the Office for Students (OfS) that aims to encourage higher education providers to improve and deliver excellence in the areas that students care about the most: teaching, learning and achieving positive outcomes from their studies.

The TEF does this by assessing and rating universities and colleges for excellence above a set of minimum requirements for quality and standards. Providers that take part in the TEF receive an overall rating as well as two underpinning ratings – one for the student experience and one for student outcomes.

Ratings reflect the extent to which a provider delivers an excellent experience and outcomes for its mix of undergraduate students and across the range of its undergraduate courses and subjects.

The accreditation acknowledges the significant work taking place across the TEC partnership to ensure students, many of whom come from under-represented backgrounds from across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, have access to study in an environment that puts students at the heart of all they do.

The overall ‘Silver’ rating confirms student experience and student outcomes are typically very high quality, with the student experience aspect rated as Gold; student experience is typically very high, and student outcomes aspect as Silver; student outcomes are typically very high.
