Transport to the Grimsby Institute

JUST SHOW YOUR LEARNER I.D WHEN BOARDING! – NO NEED TO REGISTER!

Learner I.D must be shown – Failure to present valid learner I.D when boarding may result in refusal of travel.

Getting to Grimsby Institute is simple.

At the Institute, we believe that it is important that you enjoy your further education and don’t have to worry about the ever-changing cost of transport. This is where our incredible *FREE daily bus services and our money-saving transport bursary scheme can help you. Anyone aged 16-19 who is studying for a Further Education course at Grimsby Institute is eligible to use our transport service.

We’ve made it really easy for you to get to us. We run our own fleet of coaches and if you can get to a pickup point on the timetable then you’ll be able to travel for *FREE to and from the Institute. For more information on our *FREE bus service, please contact transport_services@grimsby.ac.uk

If you cannot catch one of our own buses, don’t worry, we can still help you to get to the institute through our Transport Bursary Scheme. If you are 16–18 years old, you could save hundreds of pounds by using the scheme. To apply for the Bursary Scheme, please call 0800 315 002 or email Learner Services at infocent@grimsby.ac.uk. They will provide you with all the information you need and explain how you apply.

If you live in Lincolnshire and you’re not on one of our bus routes, you can apply for subsidised travel with the Lincolnshire County Council Travel Pass. Apply online at lincolnshire.gov.uk/school-college-transport or call 01522 552 222. Once your application has been approved, you should send your confirmation letter to the Admissions and Finance Officer at Grimsby Institute.

If you can’t catch one of our coaches, and you live outside the Lincolnshire County Council Travel Pass catchment area, you may still be entitled to financial support for travel through the Institute’s Bursary Scheme. If you’re eligible for the Bursary, you may be entitled to help towards travel costs, depending on the distance you have to travel.
