Meet Our New Principals For Grimsby Institute and The University Centre Grimsby

The TEC Partnership are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Campus Principal for Higher Education, as well as new Deputy Principals for both further and higher education.

Joanne Wallace joined the TEC Partnership in 2023 as Deputy Principal for the University Centre Grimsby. She has extensive experience in the education sector, spending time at the University of Leeds and Bradford College before working on curriculum development and quality management of overseas centres in the Pacific Rim and Middle East.

Effective from 1st September 2024, her new appointment will now see her become Campus Principal at the University Centre Grimsby. This is a role that encompasses Sport and Uniform Public Services, Access to Higher Education, Career 6, and leadership of Skegness TEC.

Reflecting on her latest role, Joanne said:

“I am delighted to be taking up the post of Campus Principal at the University Centre Grimsby. I joined TEC Partnership as Deputy Principal a year ago and have felt fortunate to join an organisation and team where improving the outcomes of every student is at the heart of everything they do.

“I am looking forward to working with colleagues to continue to develop an accessible and outstanding provision for the communities that we serve. I am eager to further the development of our new Animal Care development at our Grimsby campus and the new build development of our Skegness campus, both of which will bring further educational opportunities to our local communities.

“One of my key goals going forward is to further involve local and regional employers in our academic provision and to align our offer to existing and future aspirations of their business and regional economic priorities.”

Further appointments have also been made at the Grimsby Campus.

From the 1st October 2024, Josh Langford will be Deputy Principal for Further Education at the Grimsby Institute, while Richard Moore will take up Deputy Principal for Higher Education at the University Centre Grimsby.

Josh Langford commented:

“I look forward to using my knowledge and experience within the education sector to contribute to the ongoing development and success of the group. My aim is to continue building on the strong foundation already in place, supporting staff, and ensuring that our learners thrive in a positive and engaging environment.”

Richard Moore said:

“I am genuinely excited to step into this role. This promotion not only invigorates my commitment to advancing our shared goals but also opens up new opportunities for growth and collaboration. I look forward to contributing to our continued success with continued dedication.”
