Grimsby Institute supporting students to progress

Along with students up and down the country, today some of our very own students received their GCSE maths and English results.

Here at the Grimsby Institute we are proud to be able to help and support the students that need it, in order to achieve a grade 4 or above in these core subjects. With a specialist team of maths and English teachers, we provide focused support alongside their main further education studies, in order to help those that need it with support in maths and English GCSEs.

Grimsby Institute student Abayomi Stephen Ayoola, who has just finished studying his level 2 in Health and Social Care, achieved a grade 5 in English. Of his achievement, Stephen said: “Being able to retake my English has really helped me. It means I can now study a level 3 Biomedical Science course, and hopefully go on to university after I have completed it.”

Our commitment to maths and English is firmly embedded into college life. We want to ensure every student has the ability to reach their full potential both in their learning and their future career path, tailoring support to the students that need it.

Chery Eade, Campus Principal here at the Grimsby institute, said: “We place great importance on maths and English, so it’s great to see so many students today getting the results they need. These qualifications are vital for them to progress into further education, apprenticeships and employment, and we are really proud to be able to provide this key support.”
