There are so many opportunities in childcare. Many learners have gone on to work with children in nurseries, classrooms and even as personal nannies for families.
Did you know that with a childcare qualification it makes it possible to travel the world as a childcare assistant at holiday resorts or as a family nanny? One learner even went on to work in the Alps for a few seasons!
For a more academic option, you can also study a T Level in Education and Childcare .

Learners have the opportunity to spend half of their time within a placement environment. Placements include School Settings (primary and secondary), Daycare centres, Family Hubs, Nursery Schools, and more.
A variety of helpful trips, visits and guest speakers will be made available to you during your time on the Childcare course, including Doncaster Wildlife Park, Eureka and the Childhood Centre. You will also learn valuable skills such as Paediatric First Aid and Makaton.

UCAS points are available upon successful completion of level 3 and you don’t have to travel far to further your studies. You could study for a foundation degree at the University Centre Grimsby in Early Childhood Studies, or if you are thinking of studying further afield there are also plenty of choices at universities across the UK. You could also consider an apprenticeship in childcare if you’re ready to go straight to work.
