Grimsby Institutes Animal Care course is a particularly hands-on experience. During your time on this course, you’ll be able to interact with an assortment of animals, including farm livestock, birds & poultry, meerkats, dog & cats, exotic animals and of course our infamous cheeky monkey!
With such a variety of animals, you’ll learn a wide range of care techniques such as handling, restraining, weighing, feeding and most importantly cleaning and disinfecting the accommodation to ensure all of the animals are happy campers!

You’ll get to take part in work experience within each unit of the Animal Care programme, giving you a hands-on, real-world experience of what it’s like to have a career working with animals.

- Pet shops
Throughout the academic year, you’ll hear from a variety of guest speakers and industry professionals as well as having the opportunity to participate in fun and educational trips & visits.
Previous trips include Whirlow Hall Farm in Sheffield, Crufts, Flamingo Land and the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
