As a Digital and Technology Solutions graduate, you will have the opportunity to pursue careers such as cybersecurity analyst, data or systems analyst, IT consultant, network or software engineer, web developer, or IT technician. Entry Requirements

Students must complete 240 credits from the first two years of study on a Foundation Degree programme or equivalent and achieve a minimum average of 50% at level 5.

In addition to the current student intake, the programme is open to students who have completed a Foundation Degree programme relating to Information Technologies or Computer Science, with a 50% average at Level 5. Each candidate will be assessed on an individual basis, through the application, interview and audition process.

Learning & Teaching Methods

The teaching and learning strategy for this programme will be based around a combination of traditional lectures and seminars for the delivery of underpinning theory, core module content and the demonstration of practical skills; together with labs/workshops to allow students to apply and develop practical and technical skills. The focus however will be on ensuring students develop the ability to apply skills and knowledge practically, relating it at all times to industry context.

The requirements of each module will determine the balance of formal delivery to lab/workshop sessions. In addition to the combination of lectures/seminars and labs/workshops, students will be able to access tutorial support to address individual needs (in addition to more traditional tutorials covering pastoral support requirements) and in the case of self-directed research and/or development projects, each student will be entitled to 5 hours of academic supervision per relevant module.

Students will have the ability to explore programming, data and networking technologies using new, industry-relevant software and hardware, and will have the benefit of working with employability tutors to gain work-related skills and seek out employment opportunities.

Students also can undertake this programme part-time, completing 60 credits per year, allowing for greater flexibility to those students who may be in full-time employment or otherwise unable to attend a full-time BSc programme.
