Grimsby Institute Accommodation application process

Need to know more about the application process before, during or after you have applied please find some information below to help you along your way.

Before you make an application

Before you make an application with us, please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria. If you are unsure if you are able to apply you can contact us to discuss options available for you.

You must make sure you understand and agree our Licence Terms and Conditions as you will not be able to reserve a room without agreement.

You don’t have to have an unconditional offer before making an application! When making an application please ensure you have viewed the all of the residence facilities and prices of each residency to select which room you would like to be your 1st and 2nd choice for your application.

If you are wanting to have a look around our Halls of Residence please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can contact our Accommodation Team to arrange an appointment.

When making an application

When making an application please make sure you accurately complete all of the requested information on the application form. You will need to provide an e-mail address that you check regularly to make an application, so if you do not have one you will need to create one.

To secure your place you will be required to provide a £250.00 booking fee. This will become your deposit once you arrive at the accommodation and refundable at the end of your stay. The accommodation fees will be inclusive of all bills and facilities so there are no unexpected costs to worry about!

After you have applied

After you have applied your application will be considered by our Accommodation Team and a confirmation email will be sent to acknowledge your interest.

Room offers for full-time applicants will be sent out at the end of June 2016 providing your room type, residency and total fee for your period of stay. Full details of securing you room will be provided to you on the email you will receive. On successfully securing your room you will be provided with an arrival date and check in information.

Please note: Please reply to accept your offer within the allocated time specified, usually seven days. If you do not reply, your place will be withdrawn and may be offered to another candidate.

It is at this point you will be required to provide your £250 booking fee by the date requested in order to secure your room. Rooms will be allocated by preference and every offer will try to meet your request outlined within your application.

If at any point you are wishing to withdraw your application please speak to a member of our Accommodation Team.
