Leadership Skills for Social Care
This is a 30 hour sector specific course aimed at 19+ learners who are already employed within health and social care and are looking to upskill, or are looking to develop skills to support new or existing roles within the sector. The course is fully funded, and will result in achievement of a college certificate for successful candidates. The course is aimed specifically at developing the leadership skills and knowledge required for working in the sector. It will be run over 10 weeks on Thursday evenings, starting late August/early September. It will focus on developing knowledge of leadership and management, covering for example:
- Leadership styles and behaviours
- Safeguarding
- Developing a positive workplace culture
- Quality improvement and systems
- Recruitment and retention
The course will be delivered face-to-face by a highly experienced manager who still works in the sector full time, and manages a team who deliver care to the community. If this is something you are interested in, please contact:
