About the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management programme

CIPD Level 7 Advanced is a flagship qualification that is part of GIFHE’s suite of HR qualifications, and is one of the most widely-recognised professional qualifications in the field of HR and Development. Set at postgraduate level, they are also the highest level of qualifications we offer. Studying a CIPD level 7 Advanced qualification will help you develop your breadth of knowledge and specialise in your chosen area. The Advanced Diploma will also provide a pathway to Chartered Membership.

This qualification further extends the disciplines and scope learned in the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management, and is aimed at intensifying learners’ autonomy and judgement so that they can strategically lead and direct organisations and their people. It offers the opportunity for learners to influence people, practitioners and organisations.

Entry Requirements

Successful completion of the CIPD Level 5 Human Resource Management programme, or an appropriate higher education qualification or several years’ experience in a relevant position. The minimum age of entry is 24 years; however, younger candidates with relevant qualifications and significant evidence of business/management experience may be accepted. It is usually expected that students who enrol on the course will be in some form of employment – this helps to facilitate the assignments and assessments. Ideally, your function in the workplace is either in a human resources role or one that is related to it. If circumstances permit and the job role is not in human resources the student will need to be able to access information in HR or have prior experience.

Learning & Teaching Methods

This course is primarily designed for face-to-face learning, with attendance during lessons for the specified hours within the validation document. However, there may be periods of study where the government advises TEC Partnership that it is not safe to open campuses, or there is limited access due to social distancing measures. If the campus is closed, TEC Partnership will deliver your sessions online and offer you the necessary support and resources remotely. If there is limited access due to social distancing measures a blended model will be adopted, with some lessons taking place in small groups and others using online sessions and support.

Teaching and learning is conducted through a mixture of tutor lead sessions from experienced and qualified tutors that are experts in their field, group work, individual academic research, guest lectures in person or virtual and group presentations.
