As well as preparing fine food dishes, you’ll get the chance to work with tutors to gain front of house skills and experience, which can be further refined in our on-campus restaurant while dealing with actual customers.
These skills combined give you the knowledge you need to have well-rounded experience for future employers.
As well as on-site experience, you’ll also get the chance to go off-campus and gain work experience in one of the 150 companies that the college works with.
There are also college trip opportunities to look forward to! Level 3 learners could potentially be selected for a three-week exchange to a French catering college.
Be sure to prepare your tastebuds as the trip even includes visiting Michelin-starred restaurants!

Work experience placements are available at a variety of local restaurants and cafes.
Visits to restaurants including Michelin starred restaurants, working trips abroad with the Erasmus Plus programme for selected students, Salon Culinaire competition in London, Culinary tour of different London restaurants, Sheffield Hallam University, Food Show at NEC.
