The Music tutors at Grimsby Institute are experts in their field and have a wealth of industry experience. They’ll teach you all the different areas of the industry, from performance techniques and music technology to composition and the music business.
The facilities are great; there are even on-site recording studios so you can record quality music for your projects.
You’ll get to create your own album through our very own recording label White Box Studios – and run your own launch party! Plus, established bands will come in to answer all your questions, and you’ll get to see them perform.
Our fantastic team of music tutors, with over 50 year’s experience in the industry, will help you operate our incredible facilities here at the Institute. With four industry-standard digital recording studios equipped with the latest Pro Tools and Logic Pro X software, we are ready to help you record the next big hit!
Our studios are complete with powerful Apple Mac technology complimented with the latest digital work surfaces – we believe our recording studios really set us apart and are the best for recording in the local area.
Our four fully-equipped rehearsal spaces will allow you to perform with like-minded musicians, complemented by a full backline of Tama drums, Marshall, Orange and Blackstar amplification and full vocal PA to ensure your rehearsal is as professional as possible.
With our two MIDI suites with nearly 40 iMac computers loaded with the latest software, you can mix undisturbed in the classroom and generate any documents with a complimentary copy of MS Office suite for each student.
The level 1 course includes music as well as performing arts giving students the chance to experience both areas with a view to specialising at level 2.
The music course offers personalised industry-based work experience placements including, music studios, backstage work, retail environments and even holiday camps.
Visit important places such as Abbey Road studios and get the chance to see a live show in London. There’s also a chance to take part in ‘Battle of the Bands’ as part of our intercollege competition and a whole host of guest speakers and live acts speaking and performing throughout the year.
