On this course, you’ll learn about how to be a make-up artist for film, TV and theatre

Level 3 Available for progressing learners with the appropriate Level 2 and Maths and English GCSE qualifications.
On this course, you’ll learn about how to be a make-up artist for film, TV and theatre. The course is really practical; you get to try your skills out on fellow students, or bring in a friend who you want to glam up or turn into an alien!
You’ll get to learn about the application of specialised make-up and artificial hair for different audiences and create full character looks from make-up to hair and costume by combining the different skills and techniques that you have picked up along the way!

Work experience is mandatory to this course and learners will help plan and be involved in a variety of events throughout the year.
Industry week with demonstrations from local employers and guest artists. In house and national competitions including World Skills. Trips to Hair and Beauty UK, Salon International, Bodyworks. Masterclasses in film production and mortician make-up.
