During this course you will learn a host of valuable Carpentry and Joinery skills including, using hand tools, working from plans, preparing and installing floorboards, joists and window frames and much more.
Timber is an important part of any structure, and carpenters and joiners prepare the wooden parts of a building. Usually a joiner will work from plans to prepare the materials; the carpenter then puts them in position.
Throughout this course, you will have the opportunity to hone and perfect both your joinery and carpentry skills providing you with a sturdy foundation for future employment.

Work experience is a mandatory element of the Carpentry and Joinery course. Learners will develop and perfect a wide range of skills by working on live construction and building sites.
A variety of helpful trips, visits and guest speakers will be made available to you during your time on this course including site visits to local building developments.
