You will learn how to manage day-to-day challenges that come with setting up and running a business, including business planning and pitching, financial planning and implementation, future business growth and performance analysis.
You will even have the opportunity to run your very own business through the Young Enterprise Start-Up programme, following in the footsteps of our previous learners who made it to the national finals in 2018 and 2019!

During your Business course, work experience placements will be available. Previous students have obtained work experience at Ralph Lauren as well as at a local weight loss and exercise company where the student provided website design and administration services.
Students can choose to do work experience together over a period of two weeks or partake in an extended placement over a longer time period.
A variety of helpful trips, visits and guest speakers will be made available to you during your time on this course, including, Hull University, Lincoln University, Young enterprise Start-Up business creation competition, Barcelona, Alton Towers and York. Students are also encouraged to put forward their own ideas for trips.

You could earn UCAS Points upon successful completion of the Level 3 course and you don’t have to travel far from home to study. The University Centre Grimsby offers degree courses in business along with the chance to specialise in accounting or marketing.
