We have been awarded Silver by the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF)
What is TEF?
The Teaching Excellence Framework is an assessment of the quality of teaching in universities across the country. It has been introduced by the Government as a new way to assess and evaluate universities to encourage excellent teaching and learning. The panel base their decision on several indicators of quality including teaching, academic support and progression to employment to give students a guide to the overall success of their chosen university.
Our feedback from TEF
“Sustained employment opportunities for graduates.”
“High levels of stretch in order to ensure all students are significantly challenged.”
“Strategic approach to the personalised support of students, resulting in high levels of engagement and commitment to learning and study.”
What does Silver TEF status mean?
The prestigious Silver TEF award recognises that the University Centre Grimsby delivers high-quality teaching, learning and outcomes for its students, and consistently exceeds “rigorous national quality requirements “for higher education in the UK.”
