About our Automotive Courses
The Automotive courses are a statutory requirement if you wish to remain qualified as an MOT tester. To retain your status, you must complete at least three hours of training and pass an assessment between April and March every year.
You will need to record training details such as the date, length of session, topics covered and vehicle groups. Topics covered include data protection for you and your customers, how to use MOT test quality information to check you’re carrying out tests correctly and assessing tyres and wheels.
