Higher Education 2017-2018 Term Dates

  • Enrolment: 21st August – 22nd August
  • Induction: w/c 28 August
  • All students: 04th September - 15th December
  • Half Term: 23rd October - 27th October
  • Christmas Vacation: 18th December - 1st January
  • Exams & Assessment period: 2nd January - 19th January
  • All students: 22nd January - 11th May
  • Easter Vacation: 30th March - 13th April
  • Exams & Assessment period: 14th May - 1st June
  • Re-sit work Deadline Date: 10 August 2018 *see below
  • Re-sit week for Examinations:06 August - 10 August 2017 *see below

* Holidays taken during the re-sit period in August will not be accepted as mitigating circumstances for the non-submission of work or failure to attend an examination.

Student Finance England will calculate funding entitlements from the following term dates:
Term: Autumn
Start Date:04 September 2017
End Date:15 December 2017

Term: Spring
Start Date:02 January 2018
End Date:29 March 2018

Term: Summer
Start Date:16 April 2018
End Date:01 June 2018

Please note the following dates are Staff Development Days and no classes will take place:

  • 04 September 2017
  • 15 December 2017
  • 02 January 2018
  • 16 April 2018
