Community Studies

Underpinned by the Egan review, the Government's drive to create thriving, sustainable communities where people want to live and work, both now and in the future, relies on the skills of people within the community.

Community Studies

Our programmes have been designed to offer theoretical and practical study which supports the role of Community Development workers within a variety of sectors.

Studying for a qualification in community studies at the University Centre Grimsby will involve covering issues such as sustainability of regeneration, multiculturalism and young people's personal and social development; so you will be prepared for employment in the community sector, whether it involves being on a youth justice team, working within the health authorities or having a career in policing.
