Higher Education Bursaries

The Student Opportunity Fund provides financial assistance to students who are in financial difficulty and who are enrolled on a Higher Education course.

Bursaries Student Opportunity Fund

It is not intended to pay for costs normally covered by Student Loans. Applications are means tested and awards are allocated according to need.

There will be 350 bursaries worth £200 based on POLAR 3 indices 1, 2 and 3 (http://www.hefce.ac.uk/postcode/) and household income if a second identification criteria is required. The bursaries will be paid in two instalments £100 in October 2016 and £100 in March 2017. Part time students may be eligible for pro rata instalments based on the number of credits they are undertaking.
