Grimsby Institute Accommodation Moving In

Need more information about moving into your accommodation at one of our locations? your on the right page please have a look below to find out more information.

Full-time Applicants

You will receive check in information when confirming your room offer with us a date, time and residence will be specified. You will be provided with a key, access card, health and safety induction and short introduction to the Halls and facilities.

If you cannot meet the time specified please contact our Accommodation Team and they may be able to arrange an appointment to suit you

Short-Stay and Apprentices

If you have been offered a room within the Halls of Residence we will be in touch to arrange a check in time. Check in and check out are between the hours of 9am and 4pm Monday – Friday. However, there is a possibility we can arrange for a time outside of these hours in exceptional circumstances.

What to Bring

Moving to a new place can be exciting for some and difficult for others. To help you to settle in and make the most of your stay remember to bring lots of personal belongings to transform your room into a home.

Please see a checklist of items to bring below:

  • Duvet, pillow and bedding
  • Pots, pans and cutlery
  • Electrical items you may need such as hairdryers, irons, straighteners, laptops
  • Food supplies
  • Bathroom essentials
  • Stationary supplies
  • Clothing and washing supplies
  • Posters, photos and personal belongings to decorate your room with.
