If you're thinking of applying for a full-time course at Grimsby Institute simply follow this step-by-step application guide. The application form for a full-time course at Grimsby Institute is really easy, our Admissions Team are available to help you every step of the way through the application process.

Grimsby Institute hold a number of open events throughout the year to give you the chance to come in have a look around and discuss your course and career options and we can even help you with the application process. Applying to study a full time course at the Grimsby Institute takes five easy steps:

STEP 1:
Decide what course you want to study, see our full list of areas we can offer courses in. You can get advice from either your school careers adviser (if you are still at school) or you can book an appointment with one of our qualified careers advisers - call 0800 315002.

STEP 2:
Come along to one of Grimsby Institute's Open Events to find out more. This will also give you the opportunity to meet the tutors and current learners and discover more about the excellent facilities available at all our campus in Grimsby and we can even talk to you about the Grimsby application process.

STEP 3:
Complete your application for the Grimsby Institute online, direct to us, via or download an application form here. If you are still at school you can apply via the Lincs2 or Lincs4U web sites. Your school will provide more details on how to register.

STEP 4:
As soon as we receive your application, you will be given an interview date and time at the Grimsby Institute. The interview will be with a tutor from the area you are interested in, and don't worry; you can even bring your parents or guardians if you want to. At the end of the interview you may be offered a place on your chosen course. If you confirm that you wish to accept the offer then it will be held for you and not offered to anyone else, subject to you fulfilling the requirements.

For all courses you will also receive an invitation to attend an Welcome Day (late June/early July) where you can gain some practical experience in your chosen subject(s) and get to know the Grimsby Institute and your tutors a bit better.

STEP 5:
Enrol on your course late August/early September. The enrolment dates vary from year to year and you will be told your enrolment date well in advance. After application and interview, If you are offered a conditional place (based upon gaining certain grades) and you then find your actual grades are lower than expected, or possibly higher, you should discuss your options at enrolment.

In some circumstances it may still be possible for you to study your chosen course, or it may be that another course at the Grimsby Institute would be more beneficial for you.
