The digital industry plays an integral part in every day life, and is constantly evolving and growing. Advances in technology and high demand for digital based entertainment means that Games Designers, for example, could find themselves earning between £18k and £44k every year, with an expected industry growth of 10% by 2022*.
Our specialised Games Design course covers areas such as digital graphics, games platforms and technologies, designing game stories and characters, games promotion, interface design, 3D modelling and animation and Building 2D and 3D games. The skills gained on this course aren’t just limited to games design; they could also be used in other career areas that require 3D graphics and applications, for example, product and packaging design, architecture and animation.
With annual trips to London Comic Con, and guest speakers from Ardman Animations, GCHQ, Sony and Microsoft our courses offer you a unique insight into the industry.
UCAS points are available upon completion of the Level 3 course. The University Centre Grimsby offers a BA (Hons) Games Design and Development degree which has seen games created by students launched by major software companies. Universities across the UK also offer a wide range of courses in varying computer disciplines that can lead to a career in this paced, ever-changing industry.
